Dwayne “Deejay Flames” Ferguson was born in Jamaica but moved to St. Kitts in 1997. He completed his secondary education at the St. Theresa Convent High School (1997-1998). In 1998 he joined TNO Sounds and in 1999-2000 he became a member of the youth group “Element of Surprise” organized by the Ministry of Youth and co-ordinated by Wanda Connor. The show was aired live on ZIZ Radio on Saturdays and it was there he was heard by Mr. Valentine Thomas of Sugar City Rock who introduced him to radio broadcasting. He was later hired as a deejay and worked alongside Val T, the “Big JL” Juni Liburd, Sister Sensia and EK at Sugar City Rock until 2005.
