St. Kitts Music Festival 2017 Launched: Jah Cure, Movado, Shabba Ranks and Goo Goo Dolls First Artistes Rolled Out

The first wave of artistes for the 21st Annual St. Kitts Music Festival (SKMF) were rolled out at the 2017 Media and Sponsorship Breakfast launch of the festival which took place on Wednesday morning at the OTI.

Tourism Minister and Minister responsible for the St. Kitts Music Festival Lindsay Grant urged the business community, media and listeners to Freedom Fm and ZIZ Radio, to make the 21st edition one of the best in history.

Mr Grant indicated that the festival was a boom for businesses and local artistes. He said the international media had played a tremendous role in boosting the image of the Federation as the destination of choice.

Chairman of the St. Kitts Music Festival Faron Lawrence pledged to make this year’s festival memorable and spectacular and appealed to the business community to partner early with the festival to ensure they get not only their money’s worth but also to take the festival to a higher level of participation and promotion.

The first wave of artiste for SKNP 21 was then rolled out by Chairman of the selection Committee Ambassador Jonel Powel… Jah Cure, Movado, Shabba Ranks and the Goo Goo Dolls were announced.

The launch was attended by Tourism and other Government officials, business partners and the National Media.

A question and answer period ensued following the presentations made by the Festival organizers. The launch was carried live on Freedom Fm and ZIZ.
