Poesy Southwell-1One of the son of National Hero Sir CA Paul Southwell was the special guest on the popular issues talk show on Freedom Fm.

Poesy Southwell spoke on a number of issues including the fall off in applications to the CBI program, reflections on the first year of a new Team Unity Government, the question of succession in both the SKNLP and the Team Unity Government, and the centennial celebrations to honor our first national hero, the Right Excellent Sir Robert L Bradshaw.

Southwell stated that Bradshaw was the quintessential leader and man of the people admonished that all citizens should participate in celebrating his life regardless of political persuasion.

With respect to the Team Unity Government’s first year in office, Southwell said with any new administration taking office, there was overlapping which facilitated Team Unity taking credit for positive economic growth.

However, he was distraught with continued evidence of victimization and what he termed missteps in particular with regard to the Citizenship by Investment program.

Southwell said the program had been demonized by the incumbent government which allowed for other Caribbean countries, such as Antigua, Dominica and Grenada to surpass St. Kitts-Nevis.

Southwell further reflected on the future of Team Unity as a coalition of three political parties.
