Murder #1 in Nevis and # 5 in SKN for 2016

Reports received by Freedom Fm about midday today Saturday are that Asim Parris was shot in the area of the roundabout by Valu Mart supermarket and the Bath cemetery in Nevis early this morning.

Reports are that Parris was shot sometime after 7 am this morning. It is said after being shot Parris ran and collapsed near to the cemetery. Residents of Nevis report seeing a contingent of police in the Bath cemetery this morning as police were carrying out investigations at the crime scene.

Less than 24 hours ago Wade “Grammy” Phipps was gunned down in St Kitts. This shooting death in Nevis brings the homicides recorded for 2016 in the federation to #5, with Nevis having its first murder for 2016.


Freedom Fm is reporting this Saturday 30 January morning, another shooting death on St.Kitts. Dead is Wade “Grammy” Phipps of Cayon Village. Numerous sources have confirmed that Phipps was shot multiple times about the body and in the head and died on the scene. The incident took place at Ottley’s Village at about 745 PM on Friday night. .

Phipps murder is the third homicide by shooting this week and the fourth murder in the federation for 2016. There are also 10 other shooting victims and one stabbing victim that are nursing injuries at the JNF general hospital.

On Wednesday, January 27, Lanzelle O’Loughlin 27 year old male from Molineux and known by the alias “Bless” was gunned down in a hail of bullets in the village of Mansions on St. Kitts around 7AM.

On Sunday January 24, Hassan Evans aka Sas Man of Newtown was killed in a drive by shooting at Upper Thibou Avenue. The first murder for the year took place in Cayon January 14. The victim 28 year old Vancito Dore of Cayon was executed around 8:30am. He was killed by two armed masked men.

Freedom Fm tried to contact Deputy Commissioner of Police Ian Queeley midday Saturday via telephone. However our calls went unanswered. Callers to Freedom Fm ON Saturday morning expressed outrage at the continued spate of killings and robberies now plaguing the federation.
