From ST. KITTS-NEVIS CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY & COMMERCE

September 11, 2017 in National

Dear CIC Members,

Now that we have been graciously spared from the passage of Hurricane José, the St. Kitts-Nevis Chamber of Industry & Commerce is coordinating relief efforts to the Caribbean islands impacted by Hurricane Irma. Because of our strategic position, St. Kitts has been identified as an operational hub and will be provided with assistance to mobilize aid to the various islands.

If you or your company will be contributing to the relief effort, we ask that you note the following:

1. Supplies must be properly labelled. Food must be separated from other items.

2. If you are sending packages to an affiliate company, all boxes must be individually labelled with full contact details as well as general content description ( food, household items etc).

3. If you are contributing building materials and/or water, it is preferred that you indicate to the cashier that the items are for Hurricane Irma Relief, pay for the items and leave them at the point of purchase. You should then forward a copy of the delivery notice to the CIC Office. The delivery notice may be hand delivered or scanned (or photographed on your phone) and emailed to cicoffice@sknchamber.com or sent via WhatsApp to 869-662-5160.

4. If you are sending a care package to an individual or relative in the affected area, kindly contact our office for relevant details.

Tradesmen wishing to participate in repair efforts may visit the CIC office, and complete the required form. Two forms of government issued identification (of which one must be a passport) are necessary when completing the registration form.

We are grateful for the blessings bestowed upon us this week.

With Highest Regard
