fig tree-1SANDY POINT, St. Kitts (26th August, 2016): –For the first time all season, it appeared as if the Sol Fig Tree Dirt Revelers were facing adversity coming after a Game 1 loss to the St. Paul’s Tuff Knots. That adversity was nowhere to be found in last night’s Game 2.

The Dirt Revelers beat the brakes off the Tuff Knots 91-69. Fig Tree led by as many as 25 in the game.

Going into the series, everyone knew it would be physical, and that physicality was on full display Thursday night. The win was the biggest for Fig Tree for this postseason and the largest margin of defeat for the defending champions Tuff Knots in their postseason history.

League veterans Tambora ‘Tamby’ Caines, Ray ‘Lomax’ Wilkin and George ‘Gullay’ Gaton anchored the Dirt Revelers offense with each scoring in double digits and was supported by Javal ‘Princy’ Hodge who did most of the heavy lifting for the defense and by coming off the bench was able to order the tone by directing the Fig Tree attack from the sidelines to start the game.

The Dirt Revelers emphasized stopping the twin towers of Naren and Nashorn Maynard, a daunting task that they will have to duplicate if they are to advance to the Premier league finals. Fig Tree had the advantage in almost every statistical category.

Game 3 is Sunday at 6:30PM with the physicality expected to be at an all time high as both teams fight to extend it’s postseason run!
