The out of control crime spree continued over the Easter weekend with more armed robberies and home invasions.

On Sunday night bandits invaded the family home of Charlie Jong’s father in Mattingly taking a safe reportedly containing thousands of dollars, jewelry and important documents.

On Easter Monday evening 23 year old Desi Browne, the daughter of well known businessman AU Browne, was robbed at gunpoint at Port Zante.

Browne posted the following on his FB page on Monday evening …”I just got word that my daughter Desi was robbed this evening at gun point at her dance institute Poise SKN at Port Zante.”

Freedom Fm understands that Desi Browne is traumatized from the experience as she fought off the masked gunman, who took her personal belongings.

A security guard at Port Zante reportedly witnessed Browne’s ordeal and came to her assistance but the robber made his escape before police arrived on the scene.

Also 2 large tour operator buses parked in the Port Zante parking lot were broken into on Monday night as well.

Freedom Fm spoke to a Port Zante worker who said that Port zante was”lonely and dangerous” especially at nights and lacked effective security.
