Woman held with cocaine in bra, between legs at NMIA

HandcuffsKINGSTON, Jamaica — A woman was reportedly held with cocaine weighing about 2.3 pounds at the Normal Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston on Wednesday.

The police report that about 6:40 pm, a port security worker searched the woman at security checkpoint and found packages of cocaine in her bra and between her legs.

She was arrested and taken to the Narcotics Headquarters where she is being processed.

The woman is expected to be charged later today with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and taking preparatory steps to export cocaine.

The drug has an estimated street value of J$1.2 million.

Investigations are ongoing.
