St Kitts Nevis Labour party (SKNLP)chair person, the Hon Marcella Liburd on Wednesday night debunked charges made by the opposition alliance known as Team Unity in regard to changes of constituency boundaries in St Kitts and Nevis.

Opposition members have charged that with the ruling SKNLP government currently facing a Motion of No Confidence it has no moral authority to change boundaries in St Kitts and Nevis. The opposition boast of six elected members as opposed to the governments five and continues to question the legitimacy of the government especially in regards to law making. However Hon Marcella Liburd on Wednesday night explained to the audience present that the recent statements about the boundaries commission is deceptive. she revealed that the commission was comprised using the guide lines of the constitution.

Liburd also took issue with the notion of legitimacy as it relates to the Motion Of No Confidence. Liburd indicated that the boundaries commission had already been at work when the Motion was file in the parliament thus the motion has no bearing on the work of the commission.
