Screams, as granny shot, teen killed…gunfire in La Romaine

AN 18-year-old was killed and two others wounded in a drive-by shooting in La Romaine on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Kimroy Marshall, of Grace Lane.

The others who were injured were Devon Ross, 19, also of Grace Lane, and Carmen Henry, 76, of Anthony Street.

Police were told that at around 10.30 p.m. a Mitsubishi Lancer was seen speeding through the community.

Several explosions were heard at Phyllis Street, followed by screams.

The vehicle sped off towards San Fernando.

Officers of the nearby police post, San Fernando CID, and Southern Division Task Force led by ASP Ali Mohammed, and Insps Persad and Gajadhar responded.

The three were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital.

Marshall succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning.

Police are uncertain who was the target or what was the motive for the shooting.
