Safety and Security In and Around Warner Stadium during Music Festival 2015

MusicFest-1The St. Kitts Music Festival is here again at the Warner Park Football Stadium, the 19th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival will commence of Thursday 25 and culminate on Saturday 27, June 2015.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force along with the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force, the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services, Private Security, NEMA, St. Kitts Red Cross, St. Kitts Electricity Company, and the Health Department will be on hand to provide to provide safety and security for the activities.

The mission of the Royal ST. Christopher and Nevis Police Force at the events is to provide a safe and secure environment for the duration of the Music Festival, 2015.

Persons who will be attending the events are kindly asked to observe and adhere to the following:

  • Only security personnel will be permitted to enter the venue with fire arms
  • No knives and other weapons will be permitted on the grounds
  • No vehicular traffic other than authorised vehicles with special access passes and police or emergency vehicles will be allowed into Warner Park
  • Persons with special access passes are only to enter and exit Warner Park through the entrances and exits they are designated to them; this includes drivers of vehicles as well
  • Drivers with special access passes are only permitted to park in the area that is designated for them
  • Parking for the general public will be at the Basseterre High School ground away from the Staff Room
  • Vendors will be permitted to enter Warner Park up to 5:30 pm and at the designated area of access
  • Vendors are required to serve drinks in plastic cups or bottles
  • No glass bottles will be permitted on the grounds
  • Patrons will be subject to security screening before entering the grounds
  • Traffic will only flow Northwards on Victoria Road, Eastwards only on Lozack Road between Hart Street and Park Range, Southwards only on Park Range between Taylor’s Range and NHC Road
  • No vehicular traffic will be permitted to flow on the portion of Lozack Road between Victoria Road and Hart Street
  • No parking will be permitted on the Eastern side of Victoria Road between Carnival City and Lozack Road
  • No parking will be permitted on the road in Warner Park which leads to the Tennis Court parking lot
  • Vending will only be permitted on the portion of Lozack Road between Hart Street and Victoria Road
  • No digital or video cameras will be permitted in the stadium
  • No unnecessary standing will be permitted in the stands, and the walkways in the stands must be passable at all times
  • Traffic signs will be placed in various areas around the venue to regulate the flow and direction of traffic
  • Illegally parked vehicles will be towed to the Fire and Rescue Services compound at Ponds Pasture at the expense of violators

All are asked to comply with these and other restrictions and guidance during the Music Festival activities in and around the venue.
