HIGH COURT INFORMATION

On Monday 2 March 2015 at the St. Christopher Circuit Court presided over by Honourable Madam Justice Marlene Carter, the murder case against Darren Sutton of Stone Fort Estate, and Accessory After The Fact case against Keithroy Phillip and Kenrick Phillip of Stone Fort Estate, and Nicholas Riley of Challenger’s Village came to an end. Honourable Madam Justice Marlene Carter upheld a No Case submission by the defence and ordered the jury to formally return a Not Guilty Verdict.

FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

Police at the Dieppe Bay Police Station are investigating the circumstances which lead to a fatal traffic accident on Monday 2 March 2015 about 2:05 pm along the Island Main Road at Gibbons Hill, Dieppe Bay which resulted in the death of one person and another hospitalised.

Initial investigation revealed that motor car P 9260 owned and driven by Bryan Richards of Rawlins Housing Project, St. Paul Village and motor van P 3540 owned by the Government of the Federation and attached to the Joseph N France General Hospital and driven by Kenneth Lake of Cabbage Tree, Cayon were involved in a head collision. Both drivers were transported to the hospital in an ambulance, where Bryan Richards later succumbed to his injuries.
