One of the callers to Freedom Fm Issues on Tuesday was the aunt of police shooting victim Philo Wallace better known as the Smiling Lady or Hyacinth of Nevis. Monday’s edition of Issues saw many callers weighing in on Saturday’s police shooting death of 17 year old rising cricket star Philo Wallace.
The lady declared that her nephew was not in any gangs and did not deserve to die just like that. She pointed out during the emotionally charged call in to Freedom Fm that Philo was very talented .She also accused the police of shooting Philo because he “was going” with the cop’s girlfriend. The aunt agonized that her nephew could have been shot in the leg but the cop shot him (Wallace) in his heart.
Wallace was shot to death early Saturday morning during an altercation at a Spanish Bar in Charlestown known as Enrique’s bar.
