fraites-son-1Jared Daniel -Isaac of Saddlers Village who was charged with robbing a Fraites Bakery delivery van on October 19th , was granted $30,000 bail at a recent sitting of the court in Basseterre.

The magistrate instructed that Isaac is to surrender his passport, report to the Cayon Police Station every day, is not to interfere with any witnesses in the matter, and is not to have any contact or communication with the virtual complainant whether by himself or through actions of servants or agents; and he is not to attend or visit Fraites Bakery or Grocery.

Isaac is accused of robbing the bread van while it was making regular early morning deliveries. Reports indicate that after the armed robber took the driver’s money bag, the driver shot at the assailant as he fled.Isaac was subsequently arrested for the robbery.

Speaking to Freedom Fm on Wednesday October 19, one of the owners Mr. Fraites informed that sometime after 4am, he received a call indicating that the van was robbed in Saddlers during a delivery by an armed robber.

The armed bandit escaped with the “money bag”. A distraught Mr. Fraites told Freedom Fm then that this robbery was very disturbing and hoped that the perpetrator would swiftly be brought to justice.

This was the second time for the month that Fraites has been targeted and robbed. Back on October 7th, the popular rural bakery was held up and robbed by an armed bandit who also escaped and took all the proceeds from a vault at the Bakery.
