BREAKING NEWS!

THG News understands that Nevis’ Premier, Hon. Vance Amory, may soon be stepping down as Party Leader and or Premier.

According to a well-placed source, top officials within the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) met recently to discuss the way forward for the party. We are reliably informed that at that meeting, believed to have been held on Wednesday at a hotel on the island, Premier Amory indicated that he will be stepping down and Deputy Premier, Hon. Mark Brantley showed interest in filling the soon to be vacant post(s).

THG News has also been informed that there was back and forth discussion regarding who should serve in Amory’s absence. According to our source, Amory said he should have a say in determining his replacement but Brantley disagreed. According to our source, Brantley suggested that it was not fitting for an outgoing member to dictate who should serve in his absence.

According to another well-placed source, Amory suggested that he should be replaced by current Cabinet Secretary, Stedmond Tross.

In explaining the outcome, our source said “Kobe can’t leave the Lakers and determine who else should play on the team.”
