The general public is advised of the following interruptions to the flow of traffic on December 26th, January 1st and 2nd, to facilitate the smooth passage of troupes during Jouvert, the New Year’s Day Parade and Last Lap respectively.
Route for New Year’s Day Parade:-
• Troupes will assemble at Best Buy Parking Lot Buckley’s
• Traveling east along Cayon Street
• West Square Street
• South Square Street
• East Square St.
• Right onto Pond Road
• Right onto Sandown Road
• Bay Road
• Right onto Lr. College Street
• Right onto Liverpool Row
• Left onto Fort street
Last Lap Route
Starting at various mass camps:
• Cayon Street
• Left onto Church Street
• Right onto Lower College Street
• Left onto Bay Road
• Left onto Fort Street
• Right or Left onto Cayon Street
• Right onto West Square St.
Route for J’ouvert and street jamming:
• Southwards onto church Street
• Northwards onto Fort Street
• Eastwards or Westwards across Cayon Street
• Southwards down West Independence Square Street
• Bay Road between West Independence Square Street to Fort street
• Right on Liverpool Row into College Street
• Eastwards on Bay Road
(No Street jamming will be allowed in front of Police Headquarters on Cayon Street)
Motorists are asked to avoid driving or parking on these streets when in use by the troupes. Traffic signs will be placed to indicate restrictions.
Motorists are also advised that in violation of these traffic restriction, vehicles parked along the prescribed route will result in them been towed at the owner’s expense.
