Carnival Chairman Mills Says No Permission Given To Inception to Be Part Of Bar Crawl

anthony-johnsonnoah-mills-1Chairman of the National Carnival Committee Noah Mills says the Team Inception needed to make a formal request for permission to be a part of the Bar Crawl but Chairman of Inception Anthony Johnson told Freedom Fm news on Monday that inception has always been part of the annual Carnival Bar Crawl but that this year the chairman Mills wanted to prevent the participation of Inception.

In whatsapp messages sent by Mills to Johnson, he indicated that “The St Kitts National Carnival Committee is hearing on the street that Inception is having a trailer and sound system for Saturdays bar crawl.” Mills continued “our records show no formal request to do so. I assume that if this is true, your team wrote to police seeking permission and you have been granted a supervised route separate to us”.

But on Monday Inception’s chairman told Freedom Fm that they have always been part of the Carnival Bar Crawl. Anthony said Inception experienced similar problems with regard to Inception being mentioned on the 2016-17 Carnival Calendar of Events. In a whatsapp message to Johnson, Chairman Mills noted that the deadline was extended from its original date in order to facilitate inception being mentioned in the calendar of events.

Mills wrote then “that if the document is not signed by a given time, your event will not be listed on the calendar this year”. Taking issue with Chairman Mills decision not to include the Inception event in the calendar, Johnson told Freedom Fm newsdesk that Mills wanted inception to provide three VIP passes and three regular passes to him (Mills). Anthony maintained that listing the Inception event in the Carnival calendar was always done by the Committee and he failed to understand why Mills was doing the opposite.
