Bail denied to brother and sister on gun related charges

The case involving Brother and sister Dwayne and Natasha Freeman of Rawlins, along with Watisha Browne of Cole Hill on gun possession charges, were on Friday (July 28) denied bail at the Magistrate court in Nevis and sent back to Her Majesty’s Prison.

The three accused are charged with illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, illegal importation of a firearm, possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

A July 8 police search of the Freemans’ home in Rawlins resulted in the seizure of a 9mm pistol and eight rounds of ammunition, and a quantity of marijuana.

The accused man and two women will now have to apply to the high court for bail.
