Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) and Officers of Police Division “B” are investigating a shooting incident in Crab Hill that has resulted in injuries to one person.
The shooting occurred about 10.54pm on Wednesday (January 04). Police say they received a report of shots fired in the area just before 11pm.
Investigations revealed that the victim is Carlyle Liddie of Crab Hill who received gunshot injuries to the hip, shoulder and abdomen.
Liddie was found in his yard bleeding profusely and was treated at the Pogson Hospital and then transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital.
Freedom Fm understands that it was a member of the security forces, a neighbor of Liddie, who alerted the police of the shooting.
