SKNFlagFilePhotoTop officials of the Republic of China have extended congratulations to St. Kitts and Nevis on the 31st Anniversary of Independence.President of the Republic of China, His Excellency Ma Ying-jeou in his message to Governor General, His Excellency Sir Edmund Lawrence said he looks forward to working with His Excellency “in the years ahead to further strengthen the cordial relations between our two countries.”

Taiwan Premier, His Excellency Jiang Yi-huah in extending congratulations to St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas said that under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Douglas, “St. Kitts and Nevis and Nevis achieved remarkable progress in such areas as tourism, infrastructure, renewable energy, education, and agriculture and business investment.”

The Presidents of the United States, Germany and Cuba, the Pope and the Dutch King have extended congratulations to the Federation on the 31st anniversary of Independence.U.S. President, the Hon. Barack Obama in his message to Governor General His Excellency Sir Edmund Lawrence said the “United States acknowledges the strong bonds between our two nations as we jointly pursue a secure and prosperous future for the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis and the United States.

President of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Joachim Gauck in offering congratulations on behalf of himself and fellow Germans told Governor General Lawrence that bilateral relations between Germany and St. Kitts and Nevis “are marked by friendship and mutual trust.”

Dutch King, Willem-Alexander told the Governor General that the celebration of the 31st Anniversary of Independence gives “me an opportunity to extend to Your Excellency my congratulations and my best wishes for a prosperous future for the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis.”

Pope Francis in extending congratulations to the Governor General and citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis on the 31st Anniversary of Independence “pray that the people of the Nation may continue to work together for peace and harmony” and “evoke upon all the abundant blessings of the Almighty God.”

Mexico also used the opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of Mexico to work jointly with St. Kitts and Nevis in strengthening the relationship between both countries.
