Thieves steal cash, electronic items and alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks

burglary-1Basseterre, St. Kitts – Thieves hit a number of homes and businesses over the past few weeks, making off with flat screen TV’s, cash, furniture, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages worth hundreds of dollars stolen.

A Cayon Street businessman secured his property on August 8th and when he returned the following day discovered his 43″ LG Smart TV valued at $2500 missing.

A caretaker of a residence at Half Moon Court Yard discovered the building broken into on August 9 and a 32-inch flat screen television missing. The Green Valley Committee booth at Maynard’s Park on August 9th that a thief or thieves broke into the booth and made off with several non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks to the value of $700 as well as 4 chairs.

A Farms Site, Sandy Point resident, complained that her home was broken into while residents were sleeping on 10th August and $720 stolen from a pant pocket and purse. The office of an insurance company in Basseterre was also broken into and ransacked.

After a failed attempt to break into a metal safe, the thief or thieves stole two flat screen monitors and an external hard drive, both to the value of $1400.

A Parray Village resident also reported that some $900 was stolen from his passenger bus. On August 12th an Upper Shaw Avenue residence was broken into, the kitchen, bedrooms and living room area ransacked and a 32″ Spectre flat screen TV value US$40 stolen and later recovered.

A Bramble Street, Newtown resident reported on August 12th that his home was broken into. EC$150 cash and a Royal Bank of Canada ATM card were stolen.

Thieves also targeted the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic School breaking into four class rooms and ransacked desks and cupboards and damaged a glass door.
