Team Unity MP’s Appeal Boundaries Judgement

TeamUnityTeam Unity politicians have appealed part of the recent judgment issued by Justice Darshan Ramdhani on the quest ion of bias by Chairman of the Boundaries Commission Peter Jenkins. After claiming victory and welcoming judgment which declared the report null and void, and to which Team Unity lawyer Vincent Byron had agreed that Chairman Jenkins was most biased. However, 4 Team Unity Ministers of Parliament Shawn Richards, Dr. Timothy Harris, Eugene Hamilton and Mark Brantley have lodged and Appeal to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court on the very matter.

The appeal names the Constituency Boundaries Commission, PM Douglas and the Attorney General. It claims that Justice Ramdhani erred when he misconstrued the claimants were alleging impropriety against Chairman Jenkins. Instead they were contending that the chairman could be biased.

Eugene Hamilton, one of the Claimants, told WINN FM that recent events have confirmed their concerns about Chairman Jenkins’ ability to be fair.

Meanwhile SKNLP Spokesman Austin Edinborough dismissed the argument put forward by Eugene Hamilton and Team Unity as frivolous and hypocritical.

NRP spokesman Allister Yearwood called Good Morning St.Kitts -Nevis on Wednesday and gave his perspectives on the Team Unity decision to appeal a part of the judgment.
