SKNLP rep for Constituency #8 Dr Terrance Drew said there was no growth in the economy in the last fiscal year contrary to what Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Dr Timothy Harris said during his presentation of the 2017 budget.
Drew contended on Freedom Fm’s final edition of Issues for 1016 that there is no hope in the budget for the ordinary people of St. Kitts- Nevis.
“We know we had a growth of 7% which trickled down to 5% and now the growth is at 3%.” Drew said Prime Minister Harris was deceiving by saying that this was an accelerated growth, for in reality the growth rate in SKN Is “slowing down”.
