Former Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas says that he is not certain why the Team Unity Government is repealing the early Voting Act, when there are other more important matters which are of high priority, in bringing a better quality of life for the citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Dr Douglas reiterated that the Act was to facilitate security forces voting early to ensure that on Election Day there is maximum security available.

Prime Minister Harris at his March Press Conference gave his reasons for repealing the Early Voting Legislation.

The National Assembly meets on Wednesday 23rd March and the National Assembly Elections Amendment Bill will receive its first and second reading.
