Police Investigating Early Morning Death

PoliceLine-1Basseterre, St. Kitts, December, 05, 2015 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is currently investigating the death of Travis ‘Ganstafat” Hanley of Halfway Tree, St. Kitts.

In a press release issues on Saturday, the police PRO says that the incident occurred about 4.15am on Saturday (December 5) on the Frigate Bay “Strip”. The victim received a stab wound in his left leg during the incident and was taken to the J. N. France Hospital where he later died as a result of injury sustained.

A female has been detained in relation to incident and is assisting the police with the investigation.

This is the second homicide in less than a week. Last Monday (November 30th, 2015) Kirsten “Elco” Carey, a resident of Newtown was gunned down on King Street, not far from the Basseterre Police Station. This takes the homicide count in SKN for 2015 to 30, 21 in St Kitts and 9 on Nevis.
