A police constable was stabbed Saturday night when he attempted to end a fight between nationals of the Dominican Republic at Mojito’s Bar on Craddock Road.
According to well-informed sources Constable Eloi McIntyre, who was in plain clothes, identified himself as a police officer.
A female who was involved in the fight stabbed Constable McIntyre with a piece of broken bottle on the right hand, the right side of his face and right side of his waist.
McIntyre was rushed to the Alexandra Hospital on Government Road for medical attention.
Police are said to be investigating.
