Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas says that a scientific poll taken by an international pollster in 2013 revealed that Labour’s springtime candidates–Dr Terrance Drew, Dr Vance Gilbert, Konris Maynard and Norgen Wilson would all win their seats in upcoming general elections.
Dr Douglas said that the new candidates were called to greater service by the people of constituencies #8, #7, and #3. The SKNLP leader told listeners to “Ask the Pm” on Tuesday that the poll indicated that Drew would be the leader in #8 over the PAM/Unity candidate Eugene Hamilton who is the current parliamentary representative. PM Douglas added that the writing was on the wall for Hamilton.
Dr. Douglas in responding to a caller said the issue of doctors in politics reflected the position that the “springtime” doctors had been called to greater service by the country. He said it was the same scenario with Dr Vance Gilbert and Konris Maynard.He further indicated that in constituency #5, Dr Norgen Wilson was a clear winner because the people were fed up of the incumbent Shawn Richards.
