The notion that St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris done more for St Kitts-Nevis in two years than what former US President did for the USA in eight years is laughable.
So says SKNLP Senator Nigel arty during a recent edition of Issues last Wednesday.
Carty said it was hypocritical for Unity supporters to try to defend that this is based on reality.
Carty maintained such a stance is out of place, indefensible, wrong and insulting to black people the world over. Carty singled out the former US President for high praise saying Obama’s record speaks for itself.
“Barrack Obama came up against a congress that was in fierce opposition to him largely on the account that he was black and despite all he has done a tremendous amount for people of the United States and black people as well. The notion now that this Government has accomplished more in two years than Barrack Obama is eight years is laughable and this is the kind of thing that Timothy Harris does all the time. Timothy Harris believes that there are many people who are not 100% upstairs and he believes that if he says it often enough and long enough then eventually people would believe, well people are not stupid and the fact that Timothy Harris never mentions what the government has achieved but rather makes a headline statement that he has achieved a lot. Ask him precisely what have you achieved, what has your Government achieved and he made an attempt at it at a town hall he had in Lodge or Molineaux not too long ago and among the top accomplishments of his Government was the fact that he had given out 180 houses, houses built by the Labour Party Government. Ask him what he has accomplished and he would refer to things that the Labour Party Administration would have left there”.
