Freedom Newsdesk has been reliably informed of another senseless murder which took place on King Street Newtown last night and taking the murder count to 29 for 2015 in SKN…9 on Nevis and 20 on St Kitts. The shooting victim has been identified as Kirstein Carey. Assistant Commissioner of Police with Responsibility for Crime Ian Queeley, said on Monday morning that Carey also known as “Elco,” was originally from Nevis but had been living in the Newtown area.
Reports are that a young man was walking home on King street after a football game and while en route to his residence, a vehicle drove up along side him and the occupants opened fire and shot him mutiple times to the body before speeding away.
One person who was walking in the area when it happened reportedly said “I hear 6 to 7 shots. And the funny thing that I was walking going home through the square and when I hear them I almost reach up in a tree…I had to dig out from there because I saying it’s bombs popping”
