The federation of St Kitts and Nevis recorded its first murder for 2017, when a middle aged man Leon Gumbs said to be in his 40’s was found dead in his house with a bullet in his head in the Church Ground area of Nevis early on Sunday, according to informed sources.
It is said he was probably murdered days ago as his body was already in a decomposing state.
Police were on the crime scene Sunday morning and were overwhelmed by the smell of the decomposing body as they entered his house according to reports.
