Member of Parliament for constituency #2, Marcella Liburd is slamming PM Harris as being, motivated by greed and self interest and only attending the slain police officer Brian Pacquette’s funeral in Dominica to get the perks derived from travelling there.
Liburd pointed out that Dr Harris had made no statement to the people of SKN as Minister of National Security about the shooting of the police officer or the shootings that have accounted for 22 murders in SKN for 2016.
These have not been touched by Prime Minister Harris but is passed on to the Commissioner Of Police, Ian Queeley, “but when the trip comes up to travel to Dominica, give Timothy Harris the trip, Liburd declared.
He goes down there, take pictures for politics and then you know he gets the per diems …. Because you know he loves to travel and is always off island. It has nothing to do with empathy.”
Liburd said the murder of fire officer Javier Caines in Sandy Point that Harris did not see it fit to attend that fire officer’s funeral, although he was right here on the island. Liburd further demonstrated that Dr Harris did not attend the funeral services for the top civil servant Elvis Newton, or that of “his friend” Veronica Liburd.
She further emphasized that Dr Harris is motivated by self interest and is basically fooling the people of SKN.
