The Greenlands community was shaken on Monday afternoon when shot rang out in the usually quiet neighborhood.
The incident occurred just minutes before 1:00 p.m. at Fern Street, Greenlands and the victim has been identified as an ‘Ibo’ Hendrickson of McKnight.
While information remain sketchy, reports indicate that a vehicle in which the victim traveled turned northward into Fern Street and was quickly followed by what “a white vehicle”.
It is reported that shots were fired from the trailing vehicle and Ibo is said to have sustained gunshot wounds to his back and one of his arms.
He was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.
Members of the Crime Scene Unit and the K-9 Unit and other members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force were on scene following the incident and investigations have begun.
