Has the behavior during carnival activities become too vulgar?

That question took the focus on Thursday’s edition of Freedom Fm’s Issues. following the recent carnival street activities in St Kitts many took to social media to share their views on what should and should not be considered appropriate behavior on the road. the debate later fueled when a video surfaced displaying graphic sexual acts.

Commenting on the video Dr Garfield alexander indicated that while indivial behaviour is difficult to control, there are other factors that lead to that behaviour and those factors can be control.

Dr alexander is of the view that there is a some hypocrisy in the debate.

Social Commentator Carla Astaphan has no issues with dancing however she contends that there are boundaries that one show not cross.

Bedroom behavior shouuld not be on the road.

Deputy PM and Minister responsible for culture Shawn K Richards, weighed in on the issue. He categorically stated that the carnival committee does not endorse that sort of behavior

The culture minister noted that while only a minority of persons participate certain behaviors it is difficult to police individual behavior.

Minister Richards also spoke to laws that are meant to curb such behavior in public.
