Guyana: Three-month old among new COVID-19 deaths

Nine new coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths were announced in Guyana last evening to push the mortality figure to 1,095.

Among the new deaths were two young girls.

The Ministry of Health said a 6-year-old from Essequibo Islands-West Demerara died on January 10. On January 14, a three-month-old from Demerara-Mahaica passed away.

The other deceased were five men and two women, whose ages ranged from 49 to 72, and they passed away between January 1 and 16.

The Ministry of Health said most of the deceased adults were fully vaccinated.
