A young man from Ponds Extension Newtown in East Basseterre is reportedly in police custody after allegedly confessing to killing his grandmother.
Freedom Fm Newsdesk understands that a report was received by authorities that an elderly woman had died under suspicious circumstances. According to reports the man confessed to killing her before attempting to take his own life.
Police remain tight lipped on this issue and have promised to issue a press release pending further investigation.
If her killing is confirmed it would be the 15th murder in St Kitts-Nevis for 2018.
