Dr Terrence Drew charges the Team Unity Government with political victimization

Dr Terrence Drew, SKNLP Candidate for Constituency #8, has charged the Team Unity Government with political victimization. Dr Drew an internal medicine specialist says he is being refused employment by the Government.

Speaking on Freedom Fm’s popular talk show “Issues” explained that while on the campaign trail he had been approached by medical colleagues and they told him that he was needed at the JNF General Hospital. Drew indicated that he assumed duties at the hospital as he considers serving his people as his number one priority.

Dr Drew explained that the lives of nationals are at stake. He noted that there are only three internists in the entire Federation.

He called on the Minister of Health Honorable Eugene Hamilton Junior Minister Honorable Wendy Phipps and the Prime Minister Timothy Harris to stop playing petty politics.

Freedom Fm spoke to Minister of Health Honorable Eugene Hamilton on Thursday morning who reserved comment but questioned whether or not Dr Drew had applied to work at the hospital.

Dr Drew in a telephone interview with Freedom Fm moments later revealed that he had sent a letter to the Permanent Secretary Andrew Skerrit on June 28 or 29th indicating his desire to work at the hospital.

After not receiving any response Dr Drew said he spoke to Permanent Secretary Skerrit but still received no official response. Dr Drew said that Dr Sahely the only internist at the Joseph Nathaniel France Hospital had the emailed him and copied the correspondence to the Minister, the Junior Minister the Post Secretary and Dr Cameron Wilkinson, the hospital chief of staff.

Dr Drew said that after some time he had replied to the email again indicating his willingness the serve the Federation in the capacity of internist at the hospital.

Dr Drew added that he was disappointed that to date he has received no response from the Minister, Junior Minister or anyone in the ministry.
