douglas-1Former Prime Minister of St. Kitts-Nevis, Dr. Denzil Douglas speaking on Freedom Fm’s issues on Wednesday reflected on the 33rd Independence anniversary of St. Kitts-Nevis.

Dr Douglas issued a call for constitutional changes that would move St. Kitts-Nevis forwards from being an independent country with Queen as head of state, to a republic where one of our local luminaries as President with executive powers, as the head of state.

Dr Douglas says the time has come to have one of our “kith and kin” to represent us at the highest level.

Douglas said this matter is critically important to the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s agenda going forward.
