Dis n Dat Groovy Song Banned

November 13, 2015 in National

AU Brown-1Owner of Kyss Fm and Soca/Calypso Artiste & Song Writer, AU Brown has banned one of the songs released for the soca monarch groovy segment.

The tune “Something Else” by Keith “Dis n Dat” Scarborough was released this week by Abbo’s Digital Recording Lab in Nevis and sent to Freedom Fm on Friday morning.

Brown in a commentary said that part of the song is highly offensive to Kittitians when it refers to attendees at the soca competition as “antiman and lesbians”. Brown said that this was highly disturbing and that King Dis & Dat was out of place and out of order.

He said with that kind of mindset Dis & Dat whom he claimed is a Secessionist should stay in Nevis.

Meanwhile the former Calypso King told Freedom Fm Newsdesk that AU Brown had misconstrued and misinterpreted his lyrics.

He said his focus was on creating party lyrics and making the groovy soca monarch an even better event with his participation.

Dis n Dat said he meant no offence to anyone.
