Deputy Premier Mark Brantley Optimistic about Culturama, says Nevis Economy Buoyant

Deputy Premier in the CCM led Nevis Island Administration Honourable Mark Brantley, in an exclusive interview with Freedom Fm on Friday morning,praised the efforts of the young people on this year’s Culturama Committee for making Culturama 43 the success it is to date.

Brantley said the “new blood that has been injected into Culturama 43” has resulted in an explosion of cultural activities such as WET FETE and GLOW FETE which cater to the party people.

Brantley indicated that this was his fifth culturama and the building of a new culturama village for $1.7 million using 14 different Nevisian contractors ”was a wonderful investment”.

Brantley added that the increasing revenue and monies percolating in the Nevisian ecnomy was a result of not only the new culturama village but other construction activities taking place on the island.

“There is optimism and buoyancy in the Nevis economy and this can be felt by all Nevisians”. Brantley also mentioned the fact that nationals have come home to Nevis for Culturama 43 which he said promises to be quite an outstanding event for all Nationals
