Former Education Minister Nigel Carty is blasting the Team Unity Government & Minister of Education for continuing to deceive the country about the Basseterre High School and the realities of what’s taking place there.
Carty said it was regrettable that the government media is distorting what’s happening at the Basseterre High School, with regard to the Basseterre High School classrooms being erected next to the Beach Allen School.
Carty said there was misinformation about the classrooms being completed ahead of schedule, and that the whole process was being mismanaged.
The Senator said these classrooms lacked educational resources and bathrooms.
Meanwhile on the government’s weekly information program “Working for You” on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Education Honorable Shawn Richards outlined what the Team Unity Government met at the Basseterre High School and what was being put in place until a new Basseterre High School could be built.
Minister Richards took the former education minister to task for dismissing the health concern of the Basseterre High School students and teachers and saying that such symptoms were physiologic.
Minister Richards said that the construction of the Basseterre High School classrooms were on time.
