Freedom Fm has been reliably informed of a gun toting bandit who robbed a supermarket and restaurant in Cayon on Saturday night. Four persons in the popular Pennys’ Restaurant and one in the adjoining supermarket were held up by a single masked man shortly before closing time.
According to information garnered, the robbery occurred just after 10 pm on Saturday just as the businesses were preparing to close. It is understood that one of the employees had a gun held to her neck leaving her and the other employees shaken and visibly traumatized.
The armed thug escaped with an undisclosed sum of money from both establishments. One of the owners told local media they would be beefing up their security and closing earlier.
As of Tuesday morning at press time there was no police report or statement on the incident.
