PMDouglas-NationalAssemblyAnother appeal to the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis to convene a national consultation on crime.

Leader of the Opposition and former Prime Minister the Rt Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas said several non-governmental organisations from the religious, business, civic and professional sectors and political parties should meet to discuss the growing crime problem which includes 24 murders for the year so far and come up with solid solutions.

He said putting RSS troops on the ground “to poke big guns in the faces of Kittitians and Nevisians and harassing communities will not work.”

“It is not going to bring solutions,” said Dr. Douglas, who again made a plea to the Harris-led three-party coalition “to sit down as a nation and stakeholders and find solutions to our problems.”
