The Team Unity government’s Ambassador and Special Envoy to the ministries of Sports and Culture, attorney Jonel Powell told Freedom Fm Newsdesk on Tuesday that he has no comments to a story originating on local media Winn Fm that he has threatened to return his diplomatic passport.
In a Ken Richards story, Powell says he is enjoying his responsibilities as ambassador. In the news item however, Powell is reported to have written to PM Dr.Timothy Harris explaining that he is returning his passport until some concerns raised are resolved, including the fact an instrument of appointment of him as an ambassador, remains unsigned by Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris.
At Mondays Prime Ministers press conference this issue was again raised by Richards. Pm Harris was clearly irritated by the question, but responded that cabinet would be looking into that matter.
