Member of Parliament for Constituency ## Honorable Konris Maynard is demanding that the team Unity Government set up a public accounts committee if they are serious about transparency and good governance. Maynard made the request while speaking on Wednesday’s edition of Issues on Freedom Fm.
Maynard indicated that it is almost one year since the Team Unity Government has taken the reins of power, and having promised to deliver on a public accounts committee upon taking office, have failed to deliver on this vital matter.
Maynard said the Honorable Mark Brantley was the Chairperson of that committee.
Maynard questioned if there was something to hide why the public accounts committee was not installed.
He said since coming to power the Team Unity Government was spending the public funds recklessly.
He called on the Christian Council, the Evangelical Association, the Chamber of Industry & Commerce, and the Bar Association to protest over this lack of transparency.
