The Water Services Department wishes to inform the general public that we are experiencing below average rainfall for this time of the year. This has resulted in low storage levels at our reservoirs. This may cause interruptions in supply for the consumers of higher elevations particularly in the Basseterre areas.
In order to meet our demands especially at the peak periods, 5am to 9am, 11am 2pm and 4pm to 8pm, the department has found it necessary to close down our distribution systems 10 pm nightly until the situation improves.
We take this opportunity to remind all consumers to limit their use if water for purposes such as watering lawns, washing vehicles etc. We encourage consumers to continue to vigilant in reporting any leaks to the department at 465-8000. Your kind co operation in appreciated.
