Two Former COP’s Austin Williams and Robert Jeffers Speak out on Crime Prevention and Management Issues

Two Former COP’s Robert Jeffers and Austin Williams were Freedom Fm’s in studio guests on Monday’s edition of the popular issues programme on Monday, hosted by Maurice “EK” Flanders.

The burning issue of crime, its causes, prevention and possible solutions were explored by the panel, along with telephone response from the public.

COP Robert Jeffers said the police is part of an action plan to fight crime and that the management of resources and intelligence driven policing were critical in the plan to reduce incidents of crime.

Former COP Austin Williams weighed in on the plans to reduce and prevent crime.

Williams maintained that the police were undermanned and under resourced.

Williams says the security forced should be manned and visible in the communities to give citizens a sense of security and safety.

Williams pointed out that security has not kept pace with our development.
