police_updateBelow is a report of Arrest, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period September 15-19.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:
Arrested: Vincent Borkowski of Half Moon Bay Villas was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Armed with an offensive weapon with intent to commit a criminal act.

Arrested: Stanford Williams and Joseph Charles both of Back Way Sandy Point were both arrested formally charged and cautioned for the following offences: Possession of a mask and being found with Implements of House Breaking.

Arrested/Bailed: Alex Beller of suncrest, Bird Rock was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving under the Influence of Drink and refusing to give specimen. Bailed: Alex Beller was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Thursday 6th October, 2016.

Arrested/Bailed: Jeanette Warner Neil of Hamilton Estate, Nevis was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Larceny committed between 8th and 10th April 2016. Bailed: Jeanette Warner Neil was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 her appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Friday 14th October, 2016.

Arrested/Bailed: Kishmo Carey of St Pauls was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply.
Bailed: Kishmo Carey of Rawlins Extension St Pauls who was charged with the offences Possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply to another was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 of his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd October, 2016 9.

Bailed: Jay Whyte of Fig Tree Sandy Point who was charged for the offences of Battery on Police, Indecent Language, Resisting Arrest and Threatening Language was granted bail in the sum of $10,000.00 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court District ‘B’ on the 3rd October 2016.

COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court presided over by His Honour Mr Benjamin and in the matter of Tyler Neher of Conaree, he pleaded guilty to driving without being covered by insurance on September 12, 2016 and was ordered to pay $750.00 in seven days or if in default serve 30 days in prison.

OTHER ACTIVITY:
BREAKING AND LARCENY: Police is investigating a breaking and larceny in the area of Scenic Railway at Conaree. At about 15:30hrs on 14 /9/ 2016 one the member reported they secured and left. Upon their return at about 10:30hrs on 15/9/2016 they discovered the office broken into some valuable items were missing included food. Apparently some person(s) dismantled the deadbolt lock on northern metal door and having gained entry. However they further reported that the compound was manned by Security Guards between 20:00hrs on 14/9/2016 and 08:00hs on 15/9/2016 and they reported that up to 03:00 hrs on 14/9/2016 the building was secured. The scene was processed by Crime Scene Unit. Further inquiries to be carried out.

SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED: police executed a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The warrants were executed in Sandy Point, St. Pauls, Shadwell.

Traffic Accident: there was one (1) traffic accident on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts on 16th September 2016. There were five (5) traffic accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts on 17th September 2016. There were six (6) traffic accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts on 19th September 2016. There were three (3) traffic accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts on 20th September 2016.

Citizen Safety: Police has launched a combined citizen safety operation coined “Operation Safe Streets”. Operations Safe Streets in being done to rid our communities of illegal firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes.
