KonrisMaynard-1Member of Parliament for Constituency #3 Konris Maynard is again calling for the establishment by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to create and sustain transparency and accountability in government.

Speaking to Freedom Fm’s Newsdesk on Tuesday, Maynard said that the many overseas trips of Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris has not led to any significant development of the country. “You can go and count how many benefits have come to the country for the travels that the Prime minister has had in over 20 months”, he indicated. Maynard said that when the SKNLP was in office, the then Opposition Team Unity continually questioned the overseas trips of Dr Douglas saying it was a waste of taxpayers’ money.

Maynard called on the Team Unity Government to appoint a public accounts committee, which would regulate and account for the travels of Prime Minister Harris, his Cabinet and other Government officials.
