The late emcee/calypsonian/entrepreneur Reginald “Calypso Reggie” Thomas was honoured during an intermission at the calypso finals held at the SUGAR MILL Port Zante on Monday night.
After completing the first round of the calypso monarchy, Carnival Chairman Noah Mills invited the Minister of Cultur Shawn Richards on stage for the presentation of a painting done of REGGIE by Vaughn Anslyn of Nevis.
During the brief tribute,Reggie was remembered fondly as an icon of entertainment in SKN over the past years. Reggie’s emcee skills, humor and calypsos will be surely missed by all.
