Three more murdered overnight…homicide toll reaches 183

THREE MEN were killed in north Trinidad overnight, taking the homicide toll to 183 for the year.

At Valencia, a man who survived a bullet to the head more than a year ago, was found dead at his home.

The body of Ray Rawle, 36, was found by his wife at their home at Tattoo Trace at around 6 p.m.

Police said that Rawle was known for illegal activities surrounding the illegal sale of land.

Eastern Division Homicide officers are investigating.

Then shortly before midnight Tuesday, a shop keeper was killed at his business place at Arouca.

Lleron Alexander, 26, was shot in his face at La Mini Mart at Lopinot Junction.

Police said that at around 11.50 p.m. a man approached Alexander and they began to struggle.

Residents heard two explosions and found Alexander bleeding on the ground.

The suspect was detained by residents and allegedly beaten before being handed over to the police.

Officers of Homicide Region II are investigating.

At around 6 a.m. the body of a man was found in drain at Jean Lane, Arima, near Sherwood Park.

The body was not immediately identified.

Police officers are at the scene.
